Additional Questions:

  • I understand REACH Kzoo is a Christian Co-op where parent involvement and participation are required, and that REACH is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
  • I agree with the REACH Kzoo mission and purpose statement as follows:

REACH Kzoo Mission: "Enriching the Kalamazoo area homeschool community with meaningful, faith-based opportunities for parents and students."

Purpose: REACH Kzoo is a group of Christian families who gather together to provide faith-based educational, social, and charitable enrichment opportunities for the local homeschooling community. The goal of REACH Kzoo is to support and encourage each other as parents/caretakers while offering our children the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate activities. The ultimate goal of REACH Kzoo is to glorify God and be a positive witness to our community.

“Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

  • I have read, understand, and agree to all of the rules and guidelines that are listed in the 2021-2022 REACH Kzoo Member Handbook. I will review these items with my child and will make sure he/she knows and follows them.
  • I agree to respect the privacy of other members by not sharing the membership directory or the information with non-members.
  • I hereby assume all risks of retaining a tutor through REACH Kzoo and having my children attend REACH Kzoo classes at Lighthouse Community Church.
  • I agree to hold REACH Kzoo board, tutors, families, and/or Lighthouse Community Church harmless of any claim arising out of the use of the organization or facility by my family.
  • I understand that I am ultimately responsible for the safety of my child at the Lighthouse Community Church. I understand that I am expected to be onsite and available for my children under the age of 10 unless they are taking a class. If my child is not in a class, I understand that they are not allowed to be in the building or on the playgrounds unattended and that siblings can not fulfill that role. I understand that I may choose to have another adult be the responsible party for my child/children, and I will submit to the REACH Kzoo Board a completed and signed Designation of Responsible Adult Form to release all care to the designated supervising adult of my choice. I understand if I do not follow this rule, someone will contact me by phone one time. If I disregard this rule again, my family’s participation at REACH Kzoo co-op may be jeopardized.
  • I understand that I am responsible for the supervision and transportation to/from any/all REACH Kzoo activities (ie. field trips, park days, teen events, classes, etc.) for the child(ren) named in my registration.
  • In the event of an emergency requiring medical treatment, I hereby grant permission for my child to receive any required medical or dental care and, if necessary, be transported for emergency care until such time as I can be contacted. I will be responsible for any charges not covered by insurance. The above permissions are granted unless I have signed a waiver stating I do not want my child transported unless emergency personnel determine that it is a life-threatening condition that warrants emergency transport.
  • I agree to pay membership fees and understand any outstanding debts or expenses due to any damage caused by myself or my child(ren) must be paid before I am able to register myself or my child(ren) for any future classes and/or events.
  • I understand I am contracting with each tutor individually and it is my job to develop a parent-tutor relationship and that REACH Kzoo Board does not supervise this relationship.
  • I will support the tutor’s authority in the classroom.
